East Lyme is 4-0 against Montville since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Wednesday. The East Lyme Vikings will be staying on the road  to face off against the Montville Wolves at 4:00  p.m.  on December 27th. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Thursday, East Lyme didn't have too much trouble with Ledyard on the road   as they won  54-39.
 East Lyme can attribute much of their success to   Michael  Timpano, who  scored 17 points, and   Jaylen Hannans, who  scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Timpano has scored at least 25% of East Lyme's points. Another player making a difference was  Brendan Osso, who  scored six points along with six  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Montville's five-game losing streak  dating back to last season came to an end  on Friday. They took down Putnam 58-44. That looming  58-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Montville yet this  season.
 East Lyme now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Montville, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
 Everything came up roses for East Lyme against Montville in their previous matchup  back in February of 2021 as the  team secured a  73-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Lyme since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
