The Flat Rock Rams will head out to take on the Carlson Marauders at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Flat Rock has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Thursday, Flat Rock needed a bit of extra time to put away Milan. They had just enough and edged out the Big Reds 16-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted against the Big Reds since May 28, 2019.

Flat Rock got a massive performance out of Jaclynn Motyka, who went 4-for-6 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Motyka a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addi Kopp, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.
Flat Rock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .463. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in three consecutive games.
Carlson couldn't beat Allen Park on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Marauders came up short against the Jaguars, falling 13-6. The loss continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost six in a row.
Lauren Dunwoody made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Flat Rock's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Carlson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Flat Rock hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Carlson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Flat Rock skirted past Carlson 4-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
