The Hillsborough Terriers lost against the Jesuit Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Hillsborough fell 61-49 to Jesuit. While losing is never fun, Hillsborough can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Jesuit is ranked 43rd).
It was another big night for Nate Boakye, who scored 20 points along with 9 steals for Jesuit. The match was Boakye's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Dylan Flach was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Hillsborough and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Jesuit, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsborough will face off against Wharton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jesuit, they will head out on the road to face off against Blake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 477 points over their last seven matches.
