Crossroads recap Oct. 23, 2012
Sherwood and Midway played the most hotly contested game in Crossroads this week, with Sherwood eventually emerging with a 37-36 victory.
Van Horn's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anthony Winningham threw for 41 and one touchdown and Marc Krantz had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Denzel Strong chipped in 228 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Winningham and Strong the Falcons have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Winningham leads the league in passing with 740 yards, while Strong has rushed for 1537 yards this season. Butler's Trey Mareth leads the league in receiving yards with 357 on 17 catches.
The Marksmen made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,561 from 11,293. The advance stemmed from a 37-36 victory over the Vikings last week.
