Hampton was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to seventh in 2A Region 8. The Bulldogs vanquished Woodlawn 64-0 earlier in the week.
Junction City extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Spring Hill, 49-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Dragons.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Norphlet takes on Bearden. As it stands, the Leopards are in fourth, while the Bears are in fifth.
Hampton led 2A Region 8 in scoring this week after putting up 64 points on the Bears.
