Northville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loudonville Christian Eagles. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles  4-0 in the first  period.

 Joey Capobianco III was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kaidyn Tran was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.  Logan Diaz also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Northville's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Loudonville Christian, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-4.
 Coming up, Loudonville Christian will head out to  square off against Middleburgh  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Northville will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles'  contest: after the Eagles face off against the Knights, they'll take on Northville again  at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
