Kingsburg (Calif.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 33-14 win over
Selma (Calif.).
The Vikings scored 13 points in the first quarter. Kingsburg scored on a touchdown catch by
Seth Brooks and a touchdown pass by
Brandon Steele to
Remington Westlund.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by Brooks in the first quarter, KHS was up 20-6 at the half.
The Vikings expanded their lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. Kingsburg's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown.
Steele played well for KHS in the victory. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 14 touchdowns on the season.
The Vikings came into the game allowing 16.4 points per game. The 14 points that the Bears ended with were below their average of 20.9 coming into the game.
With the win Kingsburg extended its winning streak to four games. The loss was the third in a row for Selma.
