The Garfield G-Men suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a tough 54-32 defeat at the hands of Champion. Garfield was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-9.
Several G-Men players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mandy Cardinal, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Cardinal is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Charlee Hill was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Garfield has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Champion, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

As for Champion, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on LaBrae at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. LaBrae will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
