Lakewood Park Christian won the last time they faced Clinton Christian, and Avery MacFarlane did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lakewood Park Christian Panthers breezed past the Clinton Christian Couriers to the tune of 60-20 on Friday for which the team can thank MacFarlane, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Davi Freitas, who put up ten points along with six assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Despite the defeat, Clinton Christian had strong showings from Hayden Lower, who earned eight points, and Dominic Miller, who scored eight points. Anthony Schrock also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Lakewood Park Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Clinton Christian, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Noble will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Lakewood Park Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clinton Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-45 defeat against Granger Christian on the 22nd.
