Even though the Brighton Bruins scored an imposing 64 points on Wednesday, the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets still came out on top. Rush-Henrietta took their matchup against Brighton 73-64. With that victory, Rush-Henrietta brought their scoring average up to 61 points per game.
Rush-Henrietta found their leader in underclassman Avery Council, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Myles Collins-Howard was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
The victory got Rush-Henrietta back to even at 1-1. As for Brighton, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Rush-Henrietta will head out on the road to face off against Hilton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster Schroeder at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
