The Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They blew past Premont 52-30. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Santa Gertrudis Academy has managed all season.
 Santa Gertrudis Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Kaitlyn `mejia led the charge by  scoring ten points. Another player making a difference was  Mikyela Munoz, who  scored nine points.
 Santa Gertrudis Academy's victory  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-10. As for Premont, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Gertrudis Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Odem at 11:00  a.m.  on December 20th. Odem is hoping to put an end to  an eight-game streak of away losses. Premont will be home for the holidays to greet  La Villa at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
