The Conner Cougars will square off against the Dixie Heights Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Conner's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
On Monday, Conner made easy work of Scott and carried off a 12-2 win. Considering the Cougars have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jocy Ortiz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
