Western Harnett is a perfect 6-0 against Westover since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Western Harnett Eagles will welcome the Westover Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Western Harnett will be strutting in after a victory while Westover will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, Western Harnett turned things around against Union Pines on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Vikings. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ethan Mazurowski was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dariel Pagan, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Westover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Jack Britt, falling 10-0.

Western Harnett's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Westover, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Western Harnett's way against Westover when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Western Harnett made off with a 14-0 win. Does Western Harnett have another victory up their sleeve, or will Westover turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
