WPIAL AAAA Northern Eight recap December 3, 2013
Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL AAAA Northern Eight this week by beating McDowell, 48-7. The victory was the 15th in a row for the team.
Seneca Valley was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Raiders came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Thanks to the talents of Ben DiNucci and Conner Slomka, Pine-Richland has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. DiNucci is tops in the league in passing with 2,131 yards, while Slomka has rushed for 1,144 yards this season. North Allegheny's Elijah Zeise leads the league in receiving yards with 952 on 49 catches.
So far this year, he has garnered 49 catches for 952 yards.
Central Catholic took down the Trojans 48-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
