The Delcastle Technical Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to St. Georges Tech 46-40. Delcastle Technical was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Georges Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
St. Georges Tech can attribute much of their success to Blair Thomas, who scored 12 points along with seven steals. The contest was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emory Womack, who scored eight points.
Delcastle Technical bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Georges Tech, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delcastle Technical will face off against Sanford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Georges Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Howard at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
