Basketball Recap: Decatur Community Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Decatur Community extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tyler Ostmeyer. The Decatur Community Red Devils simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the St. Francis Indians 55-28 thanks in part to Ostmeyer, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Ketterl, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played.

Decatur Community's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for St. Francis, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Decatur Community will square off against Wallace County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Decatur Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season. As for St. Francis, they will take on Rawlins County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis is facing Rawlins County at the right time seeing as Rawlins County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
