The Meadows School extended their postseason success on Saturday against Boulder City. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Carson Rinetti made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Schneiderman, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Parker Semenza, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
The Meadows School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boulder City only posted a batting average of .231.
The Meadows School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Boulder City, their loss dropped their record down to 20-14.
