Weiser extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 5-14-1 in the process. They lost 13-1 to the Cole Valley Christian Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Monday.
Weiser saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Black, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
As for Cole Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games.
On Cole Valley Christian's side, Blake Wilson and Carson Kile made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Wilson pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Kile didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. What's more, Wilson posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Wilson went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Kile went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cole Valley Christian let Eli Hamby and Tyler Romine run wild. Hamby got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Romine went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Romine has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cooper Kollmann, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.
As of now, neither Weiser nor Cole Valley Christian have any future games scheduled.
