After having lost a blowout in their previous game against C.H. Yoe, the Florence Buffaloes were happy to have found some success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Holland out 37-35. This was payback for Florence, who suffered a 27-25 loss the last time these two teams met.
Florence found their leader in underclassman Emerson Herring, who scored 22 points. Klareece Arldt was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Florence's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Holland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Florence will be playing in front of their home fans against Bartlett at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Bartlett comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Holland, they will head out on the road to face off against C.H. Yoe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
