On Tuesday, St. Clair was able to grind out a solid victory over Fraser, taking the game 9-6.
Hayley McFarlane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, St. Clair got a massive performance out of Gracie Pickelhaupt, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Pickelhaupt a new career-high. Sylvie Larch also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
St. Clair always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fraser only posted an OBP of .324.
Meanwhile, L'Anse Creuse North got the win against Sterling Heights Stevenson on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-3. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.
Linsay Beyer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, L'Anse Creuse North let Lily Smeltzer and Hailee Lane run wild. Smeltzer went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs, while Lane went 3-for-5 with two runs and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Alexander, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one double.
L'Anse Creuse North's record now sits at 10-11. As for St. Clair, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-2 record this season.
St. Clair skirted past L'Anse Creuse North 7-6 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
