Carlisle Koestler and Larry Ferguson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Callaway. The connection was good for 61 yards, the longest such play in 6A Region 2 this season.
Madison Central's Trey Smith recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Gulfport last week. Smith ran for 90 yards on the play and finished with 242 on the day as his team topped the Admirals.
Starkville's dynamic duo of Princeton Jones and Darius Grayer proved tough for Oxford to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jones threw for 191 yards and Grayer had 96 yards receiving. Raphael Leonard helped Starkville's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 51 yards.
