Coco Vonderhaar has led Palo Alto in stolen bases on the season and he led the team again on Wednesday. Nobody could stop Vonderhaar as he scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Palo Alto: the team is 8-4 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

Vonderhaar's strong effort led Palo Alto over Homestead and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are a perfect 10-0 against the Mustangs going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
