In what's become a running theme this season, the Chilton County Tigers gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. They blew past Benjamin Russell 60-39. The  victory was familiar territory for Chilton County who now have six in a row.
  Tyeshia Williams was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 14 points and 18  rebounds. Williams is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: she's  posted at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ivyonna Varner, who  scored 12 points along with six  steals and five  rebounds.
 Chilton County is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Benjamin Russell, their loss  ended a three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 4-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chilton County won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Jemison at 6:00  p.m.  on January 19th. Jemison will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 316th, while Chilton County is ranked 121st). As for Benjamin Russell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calera at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
