Island Coast were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Riverdale on Friday. Island Coast ended up on the wrong side of a painful 18-40 walloping at Riverdale's hands. If Island Coast were expecting to get some payback for the 6-64 defeat against Riverdale the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
Island Coast are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6. Riverdale added further sheen to their flawless record, now 7-0.
Island Coast will take on Cape Coral at home at 7:30 PM next week. As for Riverdale, they will face off against South Fort Myers. South Fort Myers also lit up the scoreboard in their last game, so this could be a high-scoring game.
