SAN DIEGO, Calif. - the Patriots scored 21 points in the third quarter to secure a big 30-0 victory over Hoover (San Diego, Calif.) on Saturday.
Patrick Henry scored on a
James McCormick touchdown pass to
Jabril Clewis, a
Lamarr Horne touchdown run and a punt return touchdown by Clewis in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Ben Cooper in the second quarter, PH led 9-0 at the half.
The Patriots expanded their lead to 30 points entering the fourth quarter. Patrick Henry scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by McCormick to Clewis.
Cooper stood out for PH in the win. The junior kicked three field goals and three extra points.
The Patriots came into the game allowing 9.7 points per game. The zero points that the Cardinals ended with were well below their average of 24.4 coming into the game.
Hoover (5-3) will play a non-conference game against Lincoln next week, while Patrick Henry (7-1) will take on San Diego in a City game.
