The Potomac School Panthers won against Connelly School of the Holy Child on Monday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Potomac School secured a 54-49 W over Connelly School of the Holy Child. That's two games straight that Potomac School has won by exactly five points.
Potomac School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zora Burrell led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Letendre, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Potomac School has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Connelly School of the Holy Child, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac School's road trip will continue as they head out to face Georgetown Visitation Prep at 5:45 p.m. on January 24th. Georgetown Visitation Prep is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Connelly School of the Holy Child, they will head out on the road to take on Flint Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Flint Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Wednesday.
