Basketball Recap: Colt Mcallister's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chapman over Walhalla

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Walhalla Razorbacks. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Razorbacks 18-13 in the first quarter.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colt McAllister, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. Those 21 points gave McAllister a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayden Humphries, who had 19 points and five assists.

Walhalla's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was Tyler Lusk, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

Chapman's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Walhalla, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Chapman will take on Blue Ridge in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season. As for Walhalla, they will be taking part in a tournament against Seneca at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Walhalla surely won't give up without a fight.
