South Lakes is 9-1 against Herndon since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Lakes to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Dalton Blakeney, who rushed for 81 yards and three  touchdowns. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  Blakeney a new career-high.  Christian Wyatt was another key player, rushing for 34 yards and one  TD.

South Lakes wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 64.7%.
 Meanwhile, Herndon was not able to break out of their rough patch  two weeks ago as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They took  a  20-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Briar Woods. On the bright side, the ten- point  effort marked the Hornets' highest-scoring  contest to date.
 Herndon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Lakes, their record is now 3-1.
 South Lakes couldn't quite get it done against Herndon when the teams last played  back in September of 2024 as they fell  26-14. Can the Seahawks avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
