The Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers will challenge the Mountain Ridge Miners at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Berlin Brothersvalley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Windber, but they still walked away with a 59-53 victory.

Berlin Brothersvalley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Miller, who went 6 for 9 en route to 17 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Miller a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Janidlo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge hadn't done well against Fort Hill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Mountain Ridge came out on top against Fort Hill by a score of 60-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Miners.
Mountain Ridge's win came from a few key players Berlin Brothersvalley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cameron Breighner, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. John Delaney was another key player, going 6 for 11 en route to 15 points along with six boards and five assists.
Mountain Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Berlin Brothersvalley has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Mountain Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
