Softball Recap: Clinton County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Clinton County extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 19-6 in the process. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Russell County Lakers. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

As for Russell County, they now have a losing record of 10-11. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 4, 2023, but that streak is no more.

For Russell County's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brylie Hardwick, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Addy Abrell was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Coming up, Clinton County will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Russell County, they will venture away from home to take on Monroe County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
