Grant County has gone 6-1 against Lloyd Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Grant County Braves will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grant County is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Bracken County. Everything went Grant County's way against Bracken County on Tuesday as Grant County made off with a 17-1 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Braves as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Braiden Beach and Luke Williams made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Beach tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Williams tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That one hit allowed gave Beach a new career-low. At bat, Beach went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Williams went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Beach a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Xavier Camacho was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Kullen Fryman, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Memorial took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Boone County.

Lloyd Memorial's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaylen Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Grant County skirted past Lloyd Memorial 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Does Grant County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lloyd Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
