The Ponca Indians lost against the Vermillion Tanagers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Ponca ended up on the wrong side of a tough 55-31 walloping at the hands of Vermillion. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ponca has scored all season.
Ponca's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Vermillion, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ponca won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tri County Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Tri County Northeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. Vermillion will be home for the holidays to greet Tri-Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
