After a string of three wins, the Baltic Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 62-50 to Sioux Valley. Baltic lost against Sioux Valley in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-53 score last time.
Defeat or not, Baltic got some senior leadership from Jack Erickson who scored 20 points along with three steals and Mark Ditter who scored 20 points. The game was Erickson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Artz, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Baltic's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1. As for Sioux Valley, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Baltic will take on Elkton/Lake Benton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Sioux Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Beresford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beresford comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
