The Demopolis Tigers won the last time they faced the Linden Patriots, and things went their way on Friday too. Demopolis claimed a resounding 62-26 victory over Linden on the road. Given Demopolis' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Linden is ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isaiah Brown and Keilyn Edwards certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Brown scored nine points, while Edwards scored seven points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Demopolis and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Linden, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Demopolis won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hatch at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hatch has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three matchups. As for Linden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marengo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marengo is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
