Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Success Unlimited Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nakai Depina, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Timmorian Williams was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Christian's 15-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tabernacle.
Tuscaloosa Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jonathan Schwartz, who scored 15 points, and Alec Joiner who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. Schwartz scored a full 31.9% of Tuscaloosa Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Success Unlimited Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Success Unlimited Academy couldn't quite finish off Tuscaloosa Christian in their previous matchup back in February and fell 61-59.
