The Gambell King Polar Bear put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They slipped by James C Isabell 64-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gambell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarvis Campbell-Soonagrook, who scored 19 points. Tristan Camppbell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Gambell's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for James C Isabell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Coincidentally, Gambell and James C Isabell will both be playing Shishmaref the next time they take the court. Gambell will head out to face Shishmaref on January 19th, while James C Isabell will host them on January 26th.
