The Arizona College Prep Knights entered their tilt with the Flowing Wells Caballeros with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Arizona College Prep came out on top against Flowing Wells by a score of 43-32 on Friday. Given Arizona College Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Flowing Wells is ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arizona College Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asher Perez, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Perez hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Cutler, who scored 12 points.
Arizona College Prep pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Flowing Wells, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arizona College Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Coronado at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Flowing Wells, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Canyon del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Canyon del Oro and Flowing Wells are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
