Toombs Christian Academy (Lyons, Ga.) snapped the 10-game winning streak of
Curtis Baptist (Augusta, Ga.), with a 26-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the second quarter, the Crusaders were up 20-7 at the half.
Toombs Christian Academy saw its 13-point halftime lead fall to six entering the fourth.
With the win TCA extended its winning streak to eight games. Toombs Christian Academy defeated Jefferson Academy 49-13 last week.
The Lyons school came into the game allowing 12.3 points per game. Curtis Baptist's 14 points were well below their season average of 34.6 per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 48-6 win for the Crusaders.
The defeat comes as a step back for Curtis Baptist, which notched a 37-17 victory over Frederica Academy in its previous outing.
