The York Dukes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-22 walloping at the hands of Downers Grove North. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points York has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Kaitlyn Parker, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Hope Sebek was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
York's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-8. As for Downers Grove North, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
York will face off against Wheaton-Warrenville South at TBD on Monday. Wheaton-Warrenville South is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Downers Grove North, they will take on Lincoln-Way Central at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
