Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Smith Valley walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Mineral County Serpents on Saturday as they made off with a 14-7 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Smith Valley's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Mineral County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Smith Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-10 win against Wells on the 10th. Mineral County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
