Allison Ramaley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Victoria Mann was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Tallulah Showrank was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Hopewell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Riverside never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against New Brighton on Tuesday. They blew past the Lions 18-3. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Hopewell's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Riverside, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Hopewell beat Riverside 8-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
