The Greenwood Rangers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Luling 71-41 at home.
Luling's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skylar Dredla, who scored 6 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Janeese Flowers was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Luling, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Greenwood will face off against Cuero at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Cuero is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Luling, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South San Antonio West at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
