Everything went their way against Clinton Christian Academy as Plaza Heights Christian Academy made off with a 62-37 win. With Plaza Heights Christian Academy ahead 35-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Luke Jones, who scored 22 points along with seven steals and three blocks. The match was Jones' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Taylor, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Clinton Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Applewood Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton Christian Academy and Heartland will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Heartland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday.
