There's no place like home for the McKinleyville Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over Eureka on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for McKinleyville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKinleyville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Maher, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Brown, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
When it comes to explaining why Eureka lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Estrada. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Estrada also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Will Mooney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Eureka struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as McKinleyville racked up 14 assists.
McKinleyville's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Eureka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.
McKinleyville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eureka also has no future games currently scheduled.
