The Crooksville Ceramics fought the good fight in their overtime game against the River View Black Bears on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Black Bears 57-52. Crooksville just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Crooksville's loss came despite strong showings from Brynn Lundell and Lexi Van Meter. Lundell scored 17 points, while Van Meter scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Van Meter has scored all season.
Crooksville has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for River View, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.
Crooksville will face off against Alexander at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Alexander focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday. As for River View, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Morgan at 12:15 p.m. Morgan is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
