Oyster River had won 13 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 18-1 to make it 14. Everything went their way against the Pelham Pythons as they made off with a 12-5 win. Considering the Bobcats have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sammy Bishop tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April.
At the plate, Kate Michaud was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last five times she's played.
