Football Recap: Arleta Skates Past Chavez with Ease

Arleta got themselves on the board against Chavez on Friday, but Chavez never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 41-0. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Jose Rosas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 87 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and one TD. Austin Ramos was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ethan Lillingston, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Arleta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lillingston and Robert Howze. Howze got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Arleta now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Chavez, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
