The Mayde Creek Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Tompkins by a score of 84-77. The win was a breath of fresh air for Mayde Creek as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Mayde Creek was led to victory by Christian Gibson and Jamal Chretien ii. Gibson scored 38 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Chretien ii scored 35 points along with six rebounds. The game was Gibson's 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Hightower, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Mayde Creek's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Tompkins, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Mayde Creek and Cypress Ranch will round out the year against one another at TBD on December 28th at. Cypress Ranch knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Mayde Creek likes a good challenge. Tompkins will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
