It was a good run, but The Niceville Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Mosley. Niceville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mosley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Uriah West and Dj Robinson certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. West rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while Robinson rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown. Alante Reese made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Sammy Freitas was his usual excellent self, throwing for 357 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jack Massey, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Niceville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Mosley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Niceville will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Navarre at 7:00 p.m. Navarre is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Mosley, they will challenge Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Choctawhatchee is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
