Harrison and McCutcheon are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Raiders will host the Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
If Harrison beats McCutcheon with 11 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Raiders blew past Crawfordsville 11-5 on Friday. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Blake Scales tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jack Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Nolan Hodnett was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Harrison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for McCutcheon, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against Twin Lakes on Friday as they made off with an 11-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.
Jon Riley was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Blake Morrison, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Harrison's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for McCutcheon, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
McCutcheon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Harrison has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for McCutcheon, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Harrison's sizable advantage in that area, the Mavericks will need to find a way to close that gap.
